How do I become a member?

Step 1

Ensure you meet the Dunwoody Athletic Honor Society Eligibility Criteria.

  • Have a 3.8 Weighted Cumulative GPA

  • Have competed at Varsity level for either two seasons of the same sport or one season of two different sports. 

  • Have completed 5 Hours of unpaid Community Service within the last 12 months

Step 2

New Members fill out the google doc application. We are now accepting applications for new members who may have recently qualified for membership this school year with their Winter or Spring Sport.

 

Step 3

New Members print out and complete the Varsity Sport(s) Verification Form and have your varsity coach(es) fill out and sign the document.  It is the responsibility of the student-athlete to collect this form from the coach (once completed), and email it to Dunwoodyahs@gmail.com by the application due date (the scanned document or a clear photo).

Important note: The community service hours (minimum 5 hours), must be completed by the time of application. The information needed in the application includes name of the 

 

  • Charity/Organization/Person you did your unpaid community service hours for

  • Dates 

  • Total Hours

  • Name and email of your adult supervisor

Step 4

Information in the application will be reviewed by the DAHS Sponsor.  Verification of varsity competition will be done by reviewing the e-mailed sport verification form completed by the sport-specific DHS coaches. Verification of cumulative weighted GPA will be done by the Counseling Department.  

Step 5

An email will be sent to all accepted applicants to confirm your invitation to become a member. Students who do not meet all criteria or require further information will also be notified by email from the DAHS Leadership and Sponsor.
